Big Brother Africa 9 kicks off on Sunday, September 7, 2014 and will be screened live 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198 while the best of the live highlights will be shown on GOtv.
Every year fans across the continent sit eagerly glued to their screens, social media abuzz, as they wait tensely to be razzled and dazzled by their favorite Big Brother Africa housemates. As the show’s fan base grows, so does the conversation on the social networks. During the 8th season, over 6 million fans interacted with Big Brother Africa via the website, Twitter, and Facebook, with the website generating just over 200 million impressions. Season 8 winner, Dillish Matthews who has established a fan base of over 200,000 across Facebook and twitter said “I never dreamt of such a big following and it keeps increasing, which is a great advantage for my career as a personality and model.
