Let’s do it for Frankie!

Wow, what can I say? Well, when I think back to the Rwandese genocide and the brutal and traumatic impact it had on the people I always see Frankie as a lucky chap.

However, beyond the smokescreen of exuberance, there is an element of sadness that I believe Frankie tries very hard to hide, probably an experience too gruesome to share and too deep to completely masked behind those wryly smiles; maybe a sexuality identity crisis; or perhaps the dissolution of his treasured relationship.

Whatever reason anyone chooses to align with, there is almost a general consensus that Frankie is a namby-pamby and it is on this premise that the ladies particularly, Goitse, Sipe and Ella are sarcastically trying to probe his sexuality.

Looking at his self restraint arguably termed spineless in the face of minor irritants and his contrasting macho profile, I can only but admire his misconceived cowardice for an exceptional gentleness.

Of course there are times we would have preferred him to take the bull by the horn by letting people know where to get off. Personally, I think (until proven wrong) that not going the whole hog is a deliberate defensive mechanism to conceal the real Frankie.

When you peep deep, you cannot miss the clearly identifiable childlike traits in his personality which arguably counts for his inability to respond to issues spontaneously.

Frankie may not have the modulation of Tayo; the oratory of Nhlanhla; the effervescent of Idris; the talent of Permithias; the aloofness of Macky2; the eloquence of 265; the wackiness of Trezagah; nor the endowment of JJ but one thing is for sure, Frankie is unmistakably a liberal man with a gentle soul that deserves our votes.

Let’s do it for Frankie!
